Say: "Travel through the earth and see what was the end of those who rejected Truth." 11 Ask thern: 'To whom belongs all that is in the heavens and on the earth?' Say: 'Everything belongs to Allah.' He has bound Himself to the exercise of mercy (and thus does not chastise you for your disobedience and excesses instantly). Surely He will gather you all together on the Day of Resurrection - the coming of which is beyond doubt; but those who have courted their own ruin are not going to believe. 12 ۞ Whatsoever dwells in the night and day belongs to Him. He is all-hearing and all-knowing. 13 Say thou: Shall I take for a patron any other than Allah, the Maker of the heavens and the earth! And He feedeth, and is not fed. Say thou: I am commanded that I be the first who submitteth himself, and that: be thou not of the associaters. 14 Say: 'Indeed I fear, if I should rebel against thy Lord, the chastisement of a dreadful day.' 15 Whosoever is spared that Day will surely have mercy shown to him, and this will be a clear triumph. 16 If God sends you harm, there is no one but He who can take it away; and if He bring you good, surely He has power over everything. 17 And He is the Irresistible, above His slaves, and He is the All-Wise, Well-Acquainted with all things. 18 Say (O Muhammad): What thing is of most weight in testimony? Say: Allah is Witness between me and you. And this Qur'an hath been inspired in me, that I may warn therewith you and whomsoever it may reach. Do ye in sooth bear witness that there are gods beside Allah? Say: I bear no such witness. Say: He is only One Allah. Lo! I am innocent of that which ye associate (with Him). 19 Those to whom We have given the Scripture recognize it as they recognize their [own] sons. Those who will lose themselves [in the Hereafter] do not believe. 20
