The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Event inevitable cometh to pass, 1 There is no denying that it will befall - 2 It will bring down [some] and raise up [others]. 3 When the earth is violently shaken 4 And the mountains shall be made to crumble with (an awful) crumbling, 5 and become like scattered dust particles, 6 You will become three categories: 7 Those on the Right -- how blessed are those on the Right! 8 The people of the left hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their left hands. How miserable they will be! 9 The third to the fore shall be the foremost. 10 These are they who are drawn nigh (to Allah), 11 In gardens of tranquility; 12 A multitude from the ancients. 13 And a few from the latter. 14 upon close-wrought couches 15 they shall recline, facing each other, 16 they will be waited on by ageless youths 17 with goblets, jugs and cups of crystal clear wine 18 Wherefrom they get no aching of the head nor any madness, 19 they will also go about them with the fruits of which they may choose, 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire to eat; 21 And companions with big beautiful eyes 22 The likes unto pearls hidden. 23 A Reward for the deeds of their past (life). 24 They will not hear therein any vain or sinful talk, 25 only the saying 'Peace, Peace!' 26 As for the People on the Right, how fortunate shall be the people on the Right! 27 (will be) among thornless Lote trees. 28 and flower-clad acacias, 29 And shade extended 30 and waters gushing, 31 And fruit in plenty 32 undiminished and never denied 33 And raised couches; 34 We have created maidens perfectly 35 And made them virgins, 36 Lovers, friends, 37 For those on the Right Hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
