The people of Lut denied the Noble Messengers. 160 Behold, their brother Lut said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 161 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 162 so fear you God, and obey you me. 163 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being. 164 Do you, of all people, approach males, 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? No, but you are a transgressing nation' 166 They said, 'If thou givest not over, Lot, thou shalt assuredly be one of the expelled.' 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do." 169 So We delivered him and his followers all, 170 Except one old woman, who stayed behind. 171 Then We destroyed the rest of them, 172 and We rained on them a rain; and evil is the rain of them that are warned. 173 Surely, in that there is a sign. Yet most of them do not believe. 174 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
