[Moses] said, "My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance] 25 and make my task easy for me. 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 so that they may understand my speech, 28 and appoint for me, out of my kinsfolk, one who will help me to bear my burden: 29 Harun, my brother. 30 Increase through him my strength 31 And associate him (with me) in my affair, 32 so that we exalt You 33 and remember You much: 34 Surely You know us well." 35 Allah said: "You are granted your request, O Musa (Moses)! 36 And assuredly We conferred a benefit on thee another time. 37 Remember when We inspired your mother with a certain inspiration 38 to lace her child in a chest and throw it into the sea which would hurl it towards the shore. Then an enemy of Mine who was also the enemy of the child would pick it up from there. I made you attractive and loveable so that you would be reared before My own eyes. 39 when thy sister went out, saying, "Shall I point you to one to have charge of him?" So We returned thee to thy mother that she might rejoice, and not sorrow. Then thou slewest; a living soul, and We delivered thee out of grief, and We tried thee with many trials. Many years among the people of Midian thou didst sojourn, then camest hither, Moses, according to a decree. 40 And I have chosen you for Myself: 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs, and do not be remiss in remembering Me. 42 Go, both of you, unto Pharaoh. Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 43 Speak to him gently. He may possibly take heed or may come to have fear." 44 They said: "O our Lord, we are really frightened lest he behave insolently with us or become violent." 45 He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything). 46 They came to the Pharaoh and told him that they were the Messengerss of his Lord and that they wanted him to let the Israelites go with them and stop afflicting the Israelites with torment. They told the Pharaoh, "We have brought miracles from Our Creator. Peace be with those who follow the right guidance. 47 Indeed, it has been revealed to us that the punishment will be upon whoever denies and turns away.' " 48 Pharaoh said, 'Who is your Lord, Moses?' 49 Musa said: our Lord is He who vouchsafed unto everything its creation, then guided it. 50 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said: "What about the generations of old?" 51 Moses said, "My Lord alone has knowledge of that, recorded in a Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 It is God who has made the earth as a cradle for you with roads for you to travel. He has sent water from the sky to produce various pairs of plants. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle, (therein); verily, in this are proofs and signs for men of understanding. 54
