S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Suad, I swear by the Quran, full of admonition. 1 Nay, those who desbelieve are in false pride and opposition. 2 How many generations before them did We destroy? In the end they cried (for mercy)- when there was no longer time for being saved! 3 So they wonder that a Warner has come to them from among themselves! and the Unbelievers say, "This is a sorcerer telling lies! 4 Has he turned so many gods into one deity? This is indeed a strange thing!" 5 And the leaders among them went about (saying): "Go on, and remain constant to your aliha (gods)! Verily, This is a thing designed (against you)! 6 We never heard of this in the former faith; this is nothing but a forgery: 7 "What! has the Message been sent to him - (Of all persons) among us?"... but they are in doubt concerning My (Own) Message! Nay, they have not yet tasted My Punishment! 8 Or do they hold the treasures of the mercy of your Lord, the Almighty, the Great Bestower? 9 Or is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, theirs? Then let them climb up the ladders (to the heavens). 10 This is just one of the disgraced armies, that will be routed there and then. 11 Cried lies before them the people of Noah, and Ad, and Pharaoh, he of the tent-pegs, 12 and Thamood, and the people of Lot, and the men of the Thicket - those were the parties; 13 Not one of them but did deny the messengers, therefor My doom was justified, 14
