The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Terror descends 1 Then none will be able to deny its occurrence. 2 (Many) will it bring low; (many) will it exalt; 3 When the earth shall be shaken to its depths, 4 and the mountains will crumble 5 becoming scattered dust, 6 and you shall be three bands -- 7 So those on the Right Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Records in their right hands), Who will be those on the Right Hand? (As a respect for them, because they will enter Paradise). 8 And the Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand? 9 And those Foremost (in Faith) will be Foremost (in the Hereafter). 10 those are they brought near (to their Lord) 11 in the Gardens of Delight, 12 A multitude from the ancients. 13 and how few of the later folk) 14 (They will be) on thrones woven with gold and precious stones, 15 Reclining on them, facing one another. 16 immortal youths shall go about them 17 with goblets, jugs and cups of crystal clear wine 18 Their heads shall not ache with it, nor shall they lose their senses. 19 they will also go about them with the fruits of which they may choose, 20 And meat of birds that they may wish. 21 And there will be fair ones large eyed. 22 The like of the hidden pearls: 23 shall be their recompense for their deeds. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk nor any sinful speech. 25 but only the saying: 'Peace, Peace' 26 The Companions of the Right Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 27 [They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed 28 And plantains laden with fruit. 29 and continuous shade, 30 and outpoured waters, 31 And fruit, abundant [and varied], 32 Neither intercepted nor forbidden, 33 They shall be on upraised couches, 34 Surely We have made them to grow into a (new) growth, 35 And made them virgins. 36 Lovers, friends, 37 for those on the Right, 38

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
