Hizb 46

AND, BEHOLD, Jonah was indeed one of Our message-bearers 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 The fish swallowed him up and he deserved (all this). 142 And had he not been of those who exalt Allah, 143 he would have lingered in its belly till the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ but We cast him upon the wilderness, and he was sick, 145 And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand men or more, 147 and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile. 148 Now ask them if their Lord has daughters, and they sons? 149 Did We create the angels females, to which they were witnesses? 150 Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say, 151 "Allah has begotten off spring or children (i.e. angels are the daughters of Allah)?" And, verily, they are liars! 152 Did He (then) choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 Why do you not reflect? 155 Or do you have a clear authority? 156 Then bring your scripture, if what you say is true. 157 And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 You cannot make anyone rebel against Him. 162 except for he who shall roast in Hell. 163 (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; 164 And verily we! we are ranged in ranks. 165 we are they that give glory. 166 And they surely were wont to say: 167 "If only we had a tradition [to this effect] from our forebears, 168 "We would have indeed been the chosen slaves of Allah (true believers of Islamic Monotheism)!" 169 But (now) they disbelieve in it, so they will come to know. 170 And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 and see them [for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 But when it shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones. 177 And turn away from them till a time 178 And watch and they shall see (the torment)! 179 Glory be to your Lord: the Lord of Glory is far above what they attribute to Him. 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 and praise be to God, the Lord of all the Worlds. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
