The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 those who are humble in their prayer; 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 who give charity, 4 Who abstain from sex, 5 Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (in their case) they are free from blame, 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors; 7 Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat (all the duties which Allah has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts etc.) and to their covenants; 8 And those who of their prayers are observant. 9 These! they are the inheritors. 10 Who shall inherit the Paradise; they shall abide therein. 11 And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. 12 Then We made him a small seed in a firm resting-place, 13 Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators. 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 and then on the Day of Resurrection you shall certainly be raised up. 16 And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware. 17 And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away. 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 And We also produced the tree which springs forth from Mount Sinai, containing oil and sauce for those that eat. 20 And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat; 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
