Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ But nay! I swear by the falling of stars; 75 and this is indeed a mighty oath, if only you knew – 76 That (this) is indeed a noble Qur'an 77 In Book well-guarded, 78 Which (that Book with Allah) none can touch but the purified (i.e. the angels). 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Is it such a Message that ye would hold in light esteem? 81 And have ye made it your livelihood that ye should declare it false? 82 Then why, when the soul at death reaches the throat 83 And ye the while (sit) looking on,- 84 And We are nearer to him than you are, but you cannot see. 85 why, if you are not at Our disposal, 86 Do ye not force it back, if ye are truthful? 87 Then if he be of the broughtnigh. 88 then happiness and delight and Gardens of Bliss are his. 89 and if he be a Companion of the Right: 90 'Peace be upon thee, Companion of the Right!' 91 And if he be of the beliers, the erring, 92 Then for him is entertainment with boiling water. 93 And a hurling into the blazing fire. 94 This is indeed an utmost certainty. 95 So glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
