AND, INDEED, We have created man out of sounding clay, out of dark-slime transmuted 26 And the jinn, We had created them afore of the fire of the scroching wind. 27 When your Lord said to the angels: 'See, I am creating a mortal from clay of molded mud. 28 And when I have fashioned him and breathed into him of My spirit, bow before him in homage;" 29 Then the angels bowed themselves all together, 30 save Iblis: he refused to be among those who prostrated themselves. 31 Said He, 'What ails thee, Iblis, that thou art not among those bowing?' 32 He said it was not for me that I should prostrate myself unto a human being whom Thou hast created from ringing clay of loam moulded. 33 Said He, 'Then go thou forth hence; thou art accursed. 34 And surely on you is curse until the day of judgment. 35 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "O my Lord! Give me then respite till the Day they (the dead) will be resurrected." 36 (Allah) said: "Respite is granted thee 37 Until the Day of the time well-known." 38 Iblis said: "My Lord! In the manner You led me to error, I will make things on earth seem attractive to them and lead all of them to error, 39 except for Your chosen servants." 40 Allah said: "Here is the path that leads straight to Me. 41 over My servants thou shalt have no authority, except those that follow thee, 42 And verily, Hell is the promised abode for them all! 43 Unto it are seven portals; unto each portal is a portion of them assigned. 44

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
