Al-Hijjr 4 of 6
Verily those who keep away from evil and follow the straight path shall be in the midst of gardens and springs of water. 45 (And it is said unto them): Enter them in peace, secure. 46 We shall strip away all rancour that is in their breasts; as brothers they shall be upon couches set face to face; 47 No fatigue will touch them therein, nor from it will they [ever] be removed. 48 ۞ Tell My servants that I alone am the Forgiving, the Merciful One, 49 And that My punishment-- that is the painful punishment. 50 And inform them about the guests of Abraham, 51 when they entered unto him, saying, 'Peace!' He said, 'Behold, we are afraid of you.' 52 They said: be not afraid; verily we bear thou the glad tidings of a boy knowing. 53 He said: Do you give me good news (of a son) when old age has come upon me?-- Of what then do you give me good news! 54 give me good tidings?' They said, 'We give thee good tidings of truth. Be not of those that despair.' 55 He said: And who despaireth of the mercy of his Lord save those who are astray? 56 And asked them: "What matter, O angels, brings you here?" 57 They said, 'We have been sent unto a people of sinners, 58 Except Lut's followers: We will most surely deliver them all, 59 "Other than his wife who, it is decreed, will remain with those who will stay behind." 60

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
