Therefore, remind. By the Favor of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor mad. 29 Or do they say, 'He is a poet for whom we await Fate's uncertainty'? 30 Say, "Wait, I too am waiting with you". 31 Is it that their faculties of understanding urge them to this, or are they but a people transgressing beyond bounds? 32 Or do they say, "He has invented it himself"? Indeed, they are not willing to believe. 33 Let them bring a discourse like thereunto, if they say sooth. 34 Did they come into being without any creator? Or were they their own creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and earth? Nay, but they have not sure faith. 36 Or, are the treasures of your Lord in their keeping? Or, are they the controllers? 37 Or have they a stairway (to heaven), by means of which they listen (to the talks of the angels)? Then let their listener produce some manifest proof. 38 Or, has He daughters, and they sons? 39 Or, do you ask them for a wage, so that they become weighed down in debt? 40 Or is the hidden with them, by which they pass judgements? 41 Or desire they to outwit? The unbelievers, they are the outwitted. 42 Or have they an ilah (a god) other than Allah? Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partners (to Him) 43 If they should see a segment falling from the sky, they would say: "It is only a massive cloud." 44 Then leave them, till they encounter their day wherein they shall be thunderstruck, 45 The Day when their guile shall not relieve them a thing, and they shall not be helped. 46 But, verily, for those who are bent on doing evil, there is suffering in store [even] closer at hand than that [supreme suffering in the hereafter]: but most of them are not aware of it. 47 And be patient, [O Muhammad], for the decision of your Lord, for indeed, you are in Our eyes. And exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord when you arise. 48 And in a part of the night exalt Him and after [the setting of] the stars. 49
