By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 and those that blow gently, 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 and yet overtake [one another] with swift overtaking: 4 And those who govern the event, 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment. 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 while eyes will be downcast. 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 What! when we are rotten bones? 11 They say: Then that would be a vain proceeding. 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 Has the story of Moses come to you 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance); 21 and hastily turned away, 22 And assembled his council and proclaimed, 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 Thereupon Allah seized him for the chastisement of the World to Come as well as of the present. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
