Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Greed for more and more distracted you [from God] 1 till you reached the grave. 2 Yes certainly, you will soon realise! 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 Again, indeed you will see it with certainty. 7 Then, on that Day, ye shall surely be asked of the delights. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
