The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
46 verses, revealed in Mecca after The News (Al-Naba') before Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who dive and drag, 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 by those that swim serenely 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 And direct affairs by command, 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 Hearts on that day shall palpitate, 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 [And yet,] some say: "What! Are we indeed to be restored to our former state 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 and they say, "That indeed would be a losing return." 12 However, it will only take a single blast 13 and then, lo, they will be fully awakened [to the truth]! 14 HAS THE STORY of Moses ever come within thy ken. 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 (Saying:) Go thou unto Pharaoh - Lo! he hath rebelled - 17 "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- 18 Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" 19 Then [Musa (Moses)] showed him the great sign (miracles). 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears. 26

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
