S (Saad)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Saad, by the Holy Reading (Koran) of the Remembrance. 1 In fact, the disbelievers are in false pride and opposition. 2 How many a generation We destroyed before them, and they cried out when it was no longer the time for escape! 3 And they marvel that a warner from among themselves hath come unto them, and the disbelievers say: This is a wizard, a charlatan. 4 "Has he made the gods (all) into one Allah? Truly this is a wonderful thing!" 5 And the Council of them depart, saying 'Go! Be steadfast to your gods; this is a thing to be desired. 6 We have heard nothing like this in the latest religion. This is only his own false invention. 7 What, has the Remembrance been sent down on him out of us all?' Nay, but they are in doubt of My Remembrance; nay, they have not yet tasted My chastisement. 8 Or, have they the treasuries of the Mercy of your Lord, the Almighty, the Giving? 9 Or is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, theirs? Then let them climb up the ladders (to the heavens). 10 A defeated host are (all) the factions that are there. 11 Before them, the people of Nooh had denied, and the tribe of A’ad, and Firaun who used to crucify. 12 And Thamud, and the people of Lut, and the Companions of the Wood; - such were the Confederates. 13 Each of them who rejected the Messenger become subject to Our punishment. 14
