The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 And strike sparks of fire, 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 VERILY, towards his Sustainer man is most ungrateful 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 for, verily, to the love of wealth is he most ardently devoted. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when the contents of the graves are brought out and poured forth (all mankind is resurrected). 9 And there shall be brought to light that which is in the breasts? 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
