So exhort (them, O Prophet), for by your Lord's Grace, you are neither a soothsayer nor a madman. 29 Or do they say: "[He is but] a poet - let us wait what time will do unto him"? 30 Tell them: “Wait; I too am waiting with you.” 31 Does their reasoning prompt them to this, or they are a people rebellious? 32 Or say they: He hath invented it? Nay, but they will not believe! 33 Let them bring a discourse like thereunto, if they say sooth. 34 Or were they created without there being anything, or are they the creators? 35 Did they create the heavens and the earth? No! They have no faith. 36 Do they own the treasures of your Lord, or have they been given charge of them? 37 Or have they a ladder by which they could [ascend to ultimate truths and] listen [to what is beyond the reach of human perception]? Let, then, any of them who have listened [to it] produce a manifest proof [of his knowledge]! 38 Or does Allah have daughters whereas you have sons? 39 Or is it that thou dost ask for a reward, so that they are burdened with a load of debt?- 40 Do they possess knowledge of the unseen, so that they can write it down? 41 Or do they intend a plot (against thee)? But those who defy Allah are themselves involved in a Plot! 42 Or have they a god other than Allah? Exalted is Allah far above the things they associate with Him! 43 And if they were to see a fragment of the heaven falling, they would say: A heap of clouds. 44 So leave them alone until they encounter that Day of theirs when they shall be struck down, 45 The Day their plan will not avail them at all, nor will they be helped. 46 And surely those who are unjust shall have a punishment besides that (in the world), but most of them do not know. 47 And be patient under the Judgement of your Lord, surely, you are before Our Eyes. And exalt with the praise of your Lord when you arise, 48 And in the night also hallow Him, and at the setting of the stars. 49
True are the words of God the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
