The folk of Lot denied the messengers (of Allah), 160 when their brother Lot said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 161 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 162 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 163 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 164 "Must you, of all people, [lustfully] approach men, 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? You are a people who transgress all bounds." 166 They said: if thou desistest not, O Lut! thou shalt surely be of those driven forth. 167 He said, 'Truly I am a detester of what you do. 168 My Lord, deliver me and my people from that they do.' 169 We saved him and all of his family 170 Except an old woman who lingered behind. 171 We then destroyed the others. 172 And We rained down upon them a rain, and evil was the rain on those warned. 173 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 174 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 175

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
