▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I call the placement of the stars to witness -- 75 And verily that is a mighty oath, if ye but knew! 76 Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an 77 preserved in a hidden Book which 78 no one can touch it except the purified ones. 79 A Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 How can you regard this discourse with disdain? 81 Would you reject the sustenance that you receive rather than give thanks? 82 Then why do you not (intervene) when (the soul of a dying person) reaches the throat? 83 And ye the while (sit) looking on,- 84 – at that moment when We are closer to him than you, although you do not see (Us) 85 Then why do you not, if you are exempt from the reckoning and recompense (punishment, etc.) 86 That you bring it back, if you are truthful? 87 Then, if he be of those brought nigh the Throne, 88 For him shall be comfort, and fragrance and a Garden of Delight. 89 And if he be of the Companions of the Right Hand, 90 he will be welcomed by the words: “Peace to you” from the People on the Right. 91 But if one happens to be of those who are wont to call the truth a lie, and [thus] go astray, 92 Then his reception is the hot boiling water. 93 and the roasting in Hell. 94 Indeed, this is the certain truth. 95 Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
