Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

DESTROYED WILL BE the hands of Abu Lahab, and he himself will perish. 1 His wealth did not benefit him in the least, nor did whatever he earned. 2 He will suffer in a blazing fire 3 along with his wife, that carrier of slanderous tales; 4 Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber. 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
