The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the inevitable event takes place, 1 there is no denying its coming 2 (it will) abase (some) and exalt (others). 3 when the earth will suddenly shake with a terrible shaking, 4 And the mountains are broken down, crumbling 5 Turned to dust, floating in the air, 6 and you shall be three bands -- 7 So those on the Right Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Records in their right hands), Who will be those on the Right Hand? (As a respect for them, because they will enter Paradise). 8 And the Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand? 9 And the Outstrippers, the Outstrippers 10 These are they who are drawn nigh (to Allah), 11 in the beautiful Paradise. 12 A multitude from the ancients. 13 And a few from the later generations. 14 On studded thrones. 15 they shall recline, facing each other, 16 Immortal youths will wait upon them 17 with goblets and ewers and a cup filled with a drink drawn from a running spring, 18 that will neither make the head throb, nor intoxicate, 19 And fruit; that they may choose. 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire to eat; 21 and wide-eyed houris 22 like hidden pearls, 23 a recompense for all that they did. 24 They will not hear therein ill speech or commission of sin - 25 Except the saying, “Peace, peace.” 26 And those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? 27 (They will be) among thornless lote-trees, 28 Bananatrees, piled 29 And extended shade, 30 near to flowing water 31 and abundant fruit, 32 unfailing, unforbidden, 33 And raised couches. 34 Lo! We have created them a (new) creation 35 and made them virgins, 36 Beloved (by nature), equal in age,- 37 For the Companions of the Right Hand. 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
