The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 He who fears will mind, 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
