The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 And when the stars fall, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 when the savage beasts shall be mustered, 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 and when the girl-child that was buried alive is made to ask 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 [then] each soul shall know what it has put forward. 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 by the night when it approaches 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 with strength endowed, secure with Him who in almightiness is enthroned 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 where then are you going? 26 This is naught else than a reminder unto creation, 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29
