Remind them, therefore, that by the grace of your Lord you are neither a soothsayer nor possessed. 29 Or they allege, “He is a poet – we await a calamity of the times to befall him.” 30 Say, "Wait, I too am waiting with you". 31 Or, do their intellects order them to do this? Or, are they an insolent people? 32 Or do they say, "He fabricated the (Message)"? Nay, they have no faith! 33 Then let them bring an announcement like it if they are truthful. 34 Or were they created by nothing, or were they the creators [of themselves]? 35 Created they the heavens and the earth! Aye! they will not be convinced. 36 Or do they have the treasures of your Lord, or are they the authority? 37 Or do they have any stairs, climbing upon which they eavesdrop? So their eavesdropper should bring some clear proof! 38 Or hath He daughters whereas ye have sons? 39 Or is it that you (O Muhammad SAW) ask a wage from them (for your preaching of Islamic Monotheism) so that they are burdened with a load of debt? 40 Or have they the unseen so that they write (it) down? 41 Or do they want to stage a deception? -- Then only those who do not believe will be the ones who will be tricked. 42 Or have they a god, other than God? Glory be to God, above that which they associate! 43 And were they to see a portion of the sky falling, they will say, “It is a heap of clouds.” 44 Hence, leave them alone until they face that [Judgment] Day of theirs, when they will be stricken with terror: 45 A Day whereon their plotting will avail them not at all, nor will they be succoured. 46 Truly, for those who do wrong there is a punishment besides that, though most of them do not know it. 47 And wait thou patiently the judgment of thy Lord; verily thou art before Our eyes; and hallow the praise of thy Lord when thou uprisest. 48 And in the night, give Him glory too, and at the setting of the stars. 49
