(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
