The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ The Merciful One 1 has taught the Koran. 2 He has created man: 3 [And] taught him eloquence. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning, 5 And the plants and the trees prostrate (for Him). 6 And Allah has raised the sky; and He has set the balance. 7 That you not transgress within the balance. 8 And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance. 9 And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures. 10 Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees, 11 Also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-smelling plants. 12 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created man from dry clay like earthen vessels, 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 16 The Lord of the Two Easts, the Lord of the Two Wests. 17 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 18 He has set flowing two seas that appear to meet. 19 and yet there is a barrier between them which they may not overstep. 20 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 21 From these seas come forth pearls and coral. 22 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 23 His are the ships with elevated sails upon the sea like mountains. 24 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 25

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
