Lo! the tree of Zaqqum, 43 will be the food of the sinful: 44 Like molten copper; it churns in their bellies. 45 like the boiling of burning despair. 46 'Seize him and drag him into the center of Hell. 47 "Then pour over his head the Penalty of Boiling Water, 48 Taste it - thou who [on earth] hast considered thyself so mighty, so noble! 49 "Indeed this is what you used to doubt about." 50 Surely those who fear and follow the straight path will be in a place of peace and security 51 Among Gardens and Springs; 52 wearing [garments] of silk and brocade, facing one another [in love]. 53 Thus shall it be. And We shall pair them with companions pure, most beautiful of eye. 54 They call therein for every fruit in safety. 55 There they shall not taste death, except the first death, and He will shield them from the punishment of Hell, 56 God will protect them from the torment of hell as a favor from your Lord. (Muhammad), this is certainly the greatest triumph. 57 Verily, We have made this (Qur'an) easy, in thy tongue, in order that they may give heed. 58 So wait thou and watch; for they (too) are waiting. 59

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
