3/4 Hizb 45

And indeed, [it was for this reason that] Noah cried unto Us - and how excellent was Our response: 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 And made his seed the survivors, 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 When he came to his Lord with a heart compliant, 84 When he said to his father and to his people: "What is it that which you worship? 85 Why do you solicit false gods instead of God? 86 What, then, do you think of the Sustainer of all the worlds?" 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 What is the matter with you, why do you not speak?” 92 Then he turned against them secretly, smiting them with the right hand. 93 His people came rushing towards him, 94 Abraham said to them: “Do you worship what you yourselves have carved with your own hands 95 when it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me! 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 and when he was old enough to go about and work with him, (one day) Abraham said to him: “My son, I see in my dream that I am slaughtering you. So consider (and tell me) what you think.” He said: “Do as you are bidden. You will find me, if Allah so wills, among the steadfast.” 102 When they had both submitted to God, and he had laid his son down on his face, 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 It was certainly an open trial. 106 We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 "Peace upon Abraham." 109 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 110 He was one of Our believing worshipers. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113
