The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 which engulfs the enemy. 5 Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11
