Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
