The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). 1 Createth man from a clot. 2 Recite! Your Lord is the most Honorable One, 3 Who hath taught mankind by the pen 4 Hath taught man that which he knew not. 5 By no means: Verily man exorbitateth. 6 whenever he believes himself to be self-sufficient: 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the return. 8 What thinkest thou? He who forbids 9 A votary when he (turns) to pray? 10 Tell me, if he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is on the guidance (of Allah)? 11 Or enjoined guarding (against evil)? 12 Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? 13 Does he not know that Allah sees? 14 No indeed; surely, if he gives not over, We shall seize him by the forelock, 15 A forelock, lying, sinning. 16 Then, let him call upon his council (of helpers), 17 We will call the guards of hell. 18 Beware! Do not obey him, but bow in adoration and draw near (to your Lord). ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
