Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe unto every slandering traducer, 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 It shall be made into a vault over them, 8 In extended columns. 9
