Hizb 46

And indeed, Jonah was among the messengers. 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 And then they cast lots and he was the one who lost, 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 He would certainly have tarried in its belly to the day when they are raised. 144 ۞ But We caused him to be cast forth on to the beach, sick as he was, 145 and caused a creeping plant to grow over him [out of the barren soil]. 146 We sent him as a messenger to a hundred thousand people or more, 147 And they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while. 148 Now ask them if their Lord has daughters, and they sons? 149 Did We create the angels females, to which they were witnesses? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 "Allah has begotten off spring or children (i.e. angels are the daughters of Allah)?" And, verily, they are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if you speak truly! 157 They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits). 158 (They say): “Exalted be Allah above what they attribute to Him, 159 except the servants of God, sincere and devoted. 160 Lo! verily, ye and that which ye worship, 161 can cause anyone to fall prey to your temptation 162 Except the one who will go into the blazing fire. 163 Of us there is none but hath a station assigned. 164 And most surely we are they who draw themselves out in ranks, 165 and we are of those who glorify Allah.” 166 They used to say: 167 'If only we had had a Reminder from the ancients, 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 But (now) they disbelieve in it, so they will come to know. 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 That verily they! they shall be made triumphant. 172 And verily Our host! they are to be overcome. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 and see, and soon they too shall see. 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 When that chastisement will descend upon their courtyard, evil shall that Day be for those who had been warned. 177 And turn away from them for some time. 178 And wait, for they will soon see. 179 Glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they attribute unto Him! 180 and peace be upon the Messengers, 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
