And the king said: Lo! I saw in a dream seven fat kine which seven lean were eating, and seven green ears of corn and other (seven) dry. O notables! Expound for me my vision, if ye can interpret dreams. 43 They replied, "It is a confused dream and we do not know the meaning of such dreams." 44 After all that time, the one of the two who had been saved remembered, he said: 'I will interpret it for you, so let me go' 45 Yusuf, O saint! give an answer unto us in regard to seven fat kine which seven lean ones are devouring and seven green corn-ears and seven others dry; haply I may return unto the people; haply they may learn. 46 Joseph said: "You will cultivate consecutively for seven years. Leave in the ears all that you have harvested except the little out of which you may eat. 47 Then there will follow seven years of great hardship which will consume all but a little of what you stored. 48 "Then thereafter will come a year in which people will have abundant rain and in which they will press (wine and oil)." 49
