The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By (the horses) that charge snorting, 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 thereby raising clouds of dust, 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 And most surely he is a witness of that. 7 and surely he loves riches with a passionate loving. 8 ۞ Does he not know that when that which is in the graves is overthrown, 9 And the hearts' contents shall be brought into the open? 10 Verily their Lord on that Day will be of them Aware. 11
