Dawn (Al-Fajr)
30 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Night (Al-Layl) before The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the dawn, 1 By the Nights twice five; 2 By the even and odd (contrasted); 3 and by the passing night, 4 is there not in this strong evidence for a man of sense? 5 Bethinkest thou not in what wise thy Lord did with the 'A'ad: 6 Iram of the pillars, 7 the like of whom no nation was ever created in the lands of the world? 8 And with Thamud who hewed out rocks in the vale, 9 and with Pharaoh of the [many] tent-poles? 10 [It was they] who transgressed all bounds of equity all over their lands, 11 And multiplied therein corruption. 12 Therefore your Lord struck them hard with the means of punishment. 13 Indeed nothing is hidden from the sight of your Lord. 14 And as for man, when his Lord tries him, then treats him with honor and makes him lead an easy life, he says: My Lord honors me. 15 And if He tests him and restricts his livelihood – thereupon he says, “My Lord has degraded me!” 16 No! But you do not honor the orphan 17 and do not urge one another to feed the poor, 18 And you devour (others') inheritance greedily, 19 And you love wealth with immense love. 20 No indeed! When the earth is ground to powder, 21 and when your Lord appears with rows upon rows of angels, 22 And Hell is brought near, that day will man remember, but of what avail will then remembering be? 23 He will say: "Alas! Would that I had sent forth (good deeds) for (this) my life!" 24 For, none can make suffer as He will make suffer [the sinners] on that Day, 25 And none can bind as He will bind. 26 But ah! thou soul at peace! 27 Return towards your Lord – you being pleased with Him, and He pleased with you! 28 Enter thou among My servants! 29 And enter thou My Garden. 30

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
