Al-Dukhaan 3 of 3
Lo! the tree of Zaqqum, 43 is the food of the guilty, 44 like molten copper, bubbling in the belly 45 as boiling water bubbles. 46 [It will be commanded], "Seize him and drag him into the midst of the Hellfire, 47 then pour over his head the chastisement of boiling water!' 48 "Taste thou (this)! Truly wast thou mighty, full of honour! 49 This is that concerning which you were doubting.' 50 Indeed, for those who feared (Allah) is a secure place 51 amidst gardens and springs. 52 They shall wear of fine and thick silk, (sitting) face to face; 53 So (it will be), and We shall marry them to Houris (female fair ones) with wide, lovely eyes. 54 therein calling for every fruit, secure. 55 They shall not taste therein death except the first death, and He will save them from the punishment of the hell, 56 as an act of grace. That will be the supreme triumph. 57 We have now made it easy on your tongue, in order that they remember. 58 Therefore wait (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) – they too are waiting. 59

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
