Then, when the Messengers (the angels) came unto the family of Lout (Lot). 61 He said, "Indeed, you are people unknown." 62 They said, “In fact we have brought to you the matter which these people doubted.” 63 “And we have brought to you a true command, and indeed we are truthful.” 64 Therefore go forth with your followers in a part of the night and yourself follow their rear, and let not any one of you turn round, and go forth whither you are commanded. 65 And We made known to him this decree that the wrongdoers were to be utterly cut off in the morning. 66 In the meantime the people of the city came to Lot rejoicing. 67 He said: Lo! they are my guests. Affront me not! 68 "But fear Allah, and shame me not." 69 They said, “Had we not forbidden you from meddling in the affairs of anyone?” 70 He said: Here are my daughters, if ye must be doing (so). 71 By your life! In their drunkenness they were truly blind. 72 Then the mighty Blast caught them at sunrise, 73 We laid it (the city) upside down and rained stones of baked clay upon them. 74 There are great Signs in this for those endowed with intelligence. 75 for, behold, those [towns] stood by a road that still exists. 76 Surely! Therein is indeed a sign for the believers. 77 Since the People of the Forest were unjust, 78 and We took vengeance on them. The two of them were upon a roadway manifest. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
