SAY: "O my Sustainer! If it be Thy will to let me witness [the fulfillment of] whatever they [who blaspheme against Thee] have been promised [to suffer] 93 exclude me from the unjust people". 94 [Pray thus] for, behold, We are most certainly able to let thee witness [the fulfillment, even in this world, of] whatever We promise them! 95 [But whatever they may say or do,] repel the evil [which they commit] with something that is better: We are fully aware of what they attribute [to Us]. 96 And say: "My Lord! I seek refuge with You from the whisperings (suggestions) of the Shayatin (devils). 97 I seek refuge in You lest they come to me." 98 Till, when death comes to one of them, he says, 'My Lord, return me; 99 That I might do righteousness in that which I left behind." No! It is only a word he is saying; and behind them is a barrier until the Day they are resurrected. 100 When the trumpet is blown, on that Day there will be no ties of relationship between them; neither will they ask about one another: 101 Therefore the ones whose scales prove heavy – they are the successful. 102 and he whose scales are light -- they have lost their souls in Gehenna dwelling forever, 103 the fire will scorch their faces, and they will abide therein with their lips distorted in pain. 104 'What, were My signs not recited to you, and you cried them lies?' 105 They will answer, "Lord, misfortune overcame us and we became an erring people. 106 Lord, take us out of this and if we sin again, we shall certainly be unjust". 107 He will say: "Remain condemned in it, and do not speak to Me. 108 There is a party of My servants who said, "Our Lord, we believe; therefore forgive us, and have mercy on us, for Thou art the best of the merciful." 109 But you took them for laughingstock, mocking at them, until they caused you to forget My remembrance. 110 Today I shall recompense them for their patience, for it is they that have won. 111 God will ask them, "How many years did you live in your graves?" 112 They will answer: "We have spent there a day, or part of a day; but ask those who [are able to] count [time]" 113 He shall say, 'You have tarried but a little, did you know. 114 Did you, then, think that We created you in mere idle play, and that you would not have to return to Us?" 115 So exalted be Allah, the True King! there is no god but he, Lord of the Throne honoured. 116 Hence, he who invokes, side by side with God, any other deity - [a deity] for whose existence he has no evidence - shall but find his reckoning with his Sustainer: [and,] verily, such deniers of the truth will never attain to a happy state! 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of the merciful' 118
