The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Beneficent Allah, 1 Taught the Qur'an, 2 has created man, 3 and He has taught him the Explanation. 4 The sun and moon rotate in a predestined orbit. 5 The stars and the trees prostrate themselves. 6 And the heaven He has raised high, and He has set up the Balance. 7 In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance. 8 And observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient. 9 And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures, 10 Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates] 11 the grain in the blade; and aromatic herbs. 12 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 13 He created the human from clay, like earthenware 14 And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke: 15 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie 16 [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. 17 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 18 He has set two seas in motion that flow side by side together, 19 Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses. 20 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 21 Out of them come Pearls and Coral: 22 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 23 And His are the Ships sailing smoothly through the seas, lofty as mountains: 24 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 25
