And those who disbelieve say: What! when we have become dust and our fathers (too), shall we certainly be brought forth? 67 We were promised this, forsooth, we and our fathers. (All) this is naught but fables of the men of old. 68 Say: "Travel in the land and see how (bad) was the end of sinners." 69 Do not grieve over them, and do not be distressed by what they contrive. 70 And they say: When will this threat come to pass, if you are truthful? 71 Say: "It may be that some of the events which ye wish to hasten on may be (close) in your pursuit!" 72 Surely, your Lord is bountiful to the people; yet most of them do not give thanks. 73 Your Lord certainly knows whatever their hearts conceal or reveal. 74 for there is nothing [so deeply] hidden in the heavens or on earth but is recorded in [His] clear decree. 75 Verily, this Quran narrates to the Children of Israel most of that about which they differ. 76 and it is a guidance and mercy for the believers. 77 Surely your Lord will judge between them by his judgment, and He is the Mighty, the knowing. 78 Therefore rely on Allah; you are indeed upon the clear Truth. 79 Truly thou canst not cause the dead to listen, nor canst thou cause the deaf to hear the call, (especially) when they turn back in retreat. 80 nor can you guide the blind out of their error. You can make only those hear you who believe in Our revelations and surrender themselves to Us. 81 ۞ When the sentence will have been passed against them, We shall bring forth beastly brutes from the earth who will torment them, for men certainly do not believe Our signs. 82
