The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence; 1 By those (angels) who gently take out (the souls of the believers); 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 by the angels who hasten along 4 and by those who regulate events. 5 On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 hearts will undergo terrible trembling, 8 Unable to lift their gaze. 9 They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state? 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 and they say, "That indeed would be a losing return." 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 When his Lord called to him in Tuwa's holy vale? 16 Saying: go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 17 And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself 18 And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). 21 and brusquely turned his back [on Moses]; 22 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, 23 Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
