Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

May both the hands of Abu Lahab be destroyed – and they are destroyed! 1 Neither his wealth nor his gains will avail him. 2 Anon he shall roast into Fire having flame. 3 His wife shall carry the (crackling) wood - As fuel!- 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
