▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I call the placement of the stars to witness -- 75 And that is indeed a mighty adjuration if ye but knew,- 76 That this is indeed a qur'an Most Honourable, 77 In a Register well-protected; 78 no one can touch it except the purified ones. 79 It is a revelation sent down from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Is it this discourse that ye hold lightly? 81 and do you make it your living to cry lies? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat of the dying 83 And you at that time look on-- 84 and while We are closer to him than you, although you see [Us] not: 85 So why is it not, that if you are not to be repaid, – 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 (If a dying soul) is of those near to God, 88 Then [for him is] rest and bounty and a garden of pleasure. 89 And if he is of those on the right hand, 90 Then (the greeting) "Peace be unto thee" from those on the right hand. 91 And if he be of those who treat (Truth) as Falsehood, who go wrong, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water, 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 Surely this is the truth of certainty. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Supreme. 96

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
