Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Generous and recording, 11 who know all that you do: 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
