No! By the moon 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 Warn the men. 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 About the guilty: 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
