Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

THE AVARICE OF plenitude keeps you occupied 1 Till you reach the grave. 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 And once again: Nay, in time you will come to understand! 4 Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!) 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 In the end you will indeed, most surely, behold it with the eye of certainty: 7 Then on that day you will surely be asked about the verity of pleasures. 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
