The Companions of the Wood rejected the messengers. 176 Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear God? 177 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 179 I do not ask any payment for my preaching. I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure and do not diminish the goods of people, 181 Weigh with correct scales: 182 and do not defraud people in their property or spread evil in the land. 183 "And fear Him Who created you and (who created) the generations before (you)" 184 They said: "You are no more than one of those who have been bewitched, 185 You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars. 186 “Therefore cause a part of the sky to fall upon us, if you are of the truthful.” 187 He said: My Lord is Best Aware of what ye do. 188 But they denied him, so there came on them the retribution of the day of gloom. Lo! it was the retribution of an awful day. 189 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 190 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 191
