▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins), 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 Except those on the right side. 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 About the criminals, 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 “Till death overcame us.” 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
True are the words of God the Almighty.
